This is the First Professor Layton Film to be released and this is the Deluxe Collectors Edition. There is also a stand alone Blu-Ray version and a stand alone DVD version, a 3 disk Collectors edition which contains the Blu-Ray, DVD, and special features Disk. Then there is this version, which contains the same as the previous, plus the complete story board in an additional book included in this set.
This is the UK release of this film which came out in 18th October 2010.
The film is an interesting flick, mainly more enjoyed by existing Layton fans. At the time of writing this, the film hasn't/will not be being released in North America. This is also supposed to be the first Layton Movie with plans to release one each year a deffinate maybe at the moment.
The storyboard book does what it says on the tin, its approx 630 pages and is literally the storyboard for the entire flick.
At the time I managed to pick this up, I had pre ordered it from Amazon.co.uk and it cost me around £35. After recieving mine I noticed a lot of sites had gone out of stock and so it can often sell for £50 upwards with one at the time of writing on amazon.co.uk trade for £86.00
As mentioned before this is the 3 disk set with both the Blu-Ray and DVD disks, aswell as the bonus disk. Behind each disk is a snazzy bit of artwork to boot!
I'm going to pop in to town on Saturday and see if I can pick this up, I didn't know it had hit the UK already... cant wait to watch it
